MoS Kaushal Kishore inspects light house project in Agartala

Agartala, September 14. Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore visited the state of Tripura on Thursday and inspected the construction site of the light house project in Border Gol Chakkar area of the capital city Agartala. He was accompanied by the officials of the Urban Development Department and the engineers involved in the project.

The light house project is a part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) scheme, which aims to provide affordable housing to the urban poor. The project involves the use of innovative technologies and materials to construct durable and earthquake-resistant houses. The light houses will have facilities such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, and internet connectivity.

The Union Minister expressed his satisfaction with the progress and quality of the project and said that it would benefit the financially backward people who would get the opportunity to stay in these houses. He also praised the state government for its cooperation and support in implementing the scheme. He said that the central government was committed to providing housing for all by 2022 and that Tripura was one of the leading states in this regard. He said that more such projects would be launched in other parts of the state soon.
