MP Rajib attends NSS special camp closing ceremony at Kamini Kumar Singh Memorial School

Agartala, 2nd January 2026:   Guided by the motto “Not Me, But You”, the National Service Scheme (NSS) continues to instill a spirit of service and social responsibility among students across the country. As part of this mission, the NSS unit of PMShree Kamini Kumar Singh Memorial Higher Secondary School successfully concluded its seven-day special camp today.

The camp, which began on December 27, 2025, engaged volunteers in a series of community-oriented activities. These included cleanliness drives, social awareness campaigns, and humanitarian assistance programs aimed at strengthening civic responsibility among young participants.

At the closing ceremony, Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee interacted with the volunteers and commended their dedication. Addressing the students, he remarked that “social responsibility and human values define a true citizen, and NSS plays a vital role in nurturing these values.”

Bhattacharjee also joined a winter clothing distribution program for residents of Snigdhalay Seva Ashram, praising the active involvement of NSS volunteers in the humanitarian initiative.

Organizers noted that the week-long camp has significantly reinforced students’ awareness of social issues and deepened their commitment to service.
