Agartala, November 19, 2022: Shankar Saha, 50, the owner of a grill factory in Madhupur Bazar and resident of Sahapur area, committed suicide with a rope around his neck due to family turmoil.
Reportedly, there has been family turmoil with his own wife since marriage. After 6 years of marriage, his wife along with daughter took refuge in her father’s house. Later, he started consuming liquor due to family turmoil. Although it is learned that he gives money to support his wife and daughter’s family.
On the other hand, he has three more brothers in his house. It is learned that on Friday night, he got drunk and indulged in family trouble inside the house and later slept in his own room. On the following morning i.e. today, when the Grill factory owner did not come to the shop, his employee went to the house and knocked the door. As the door wasn’t opened, it was broken and found that Shankar was hanging on the ceiling fan.
Receiving information, Madhupur Police Station staff rushed to Madhupur Primary Hospital. Due to this sudden incident, Madhupur fell into mourning.
Now it is more to be seen whether the police investigation will reveal whether he committed suicide due to family turmoil or there are other hidden reasons.
