Agartala, 12th March 2025: A sense of alarm has gripped the area near Bejimara BB Brick Kiln under Sonamura police station following the mysterious disappearance of a youth. Abul Kasem also known as Malu, who worked at the Diana Hotel in Sonamura vanished from his home after a heated argument with his mother over bond money on March 10 last. He left behind his wife and child, leaving the family in distress.
Desperate to locate her son, his mother Hosnara Begum searched frantically across the area but to no avail. Facing no other options, she lodged a missing person’s diary with Sonamura police station earlier today.
Hosnara Begum, the family’s only breadwinner expressed her anguish and helplessness. “We have nothing to eat at home now that my son is gone. I feel utterly broken,” she said, tearfully recalling the incident.
The local community remains tense as efforts to trace Abul Kasem continue. Police investigations are underway, but no leads have been reported so far.
