Agartala, 14th June 2025: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the Nabachintan Welfare Society, a social and cultural organization in Teliamura felicitated Achintya Bhattacharya for his unwavering commitment to humanitarian service. Bhattacharya, previously recognized by the state government as a model citizen, has dedicated himself to ensuring blood availability for those in need.
Known for his selfless approach, Bhattacharya responds promptly to emergency calls from the relatives of critically ill patients, prioritizing human life above all differences of caste, religion, or politics. Over the years, he has built a network of young volunteers who actively donate blood at various locations, including Teliamura and Agartala. Through these coordinated efforts, more than 1,280 lives have been saved.
Whenever a blood crisis arises, irrespective of the location, Bhattacharya steps in without hesitation, earning the admiration and gratitude of many. Recognizing his invaluable contribution, the Nabachintan Welfare Society expressed its appreciation, celebrating his relentless pursuit of saving lives.
His dedication continues to inspire many, reinforcing the significance of voluntary blood donation in society.
