Agartala, 9th April 2024 :  BJP state spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharya on Tuesday expressed strong criticism towards the alliance between the Communists and Congress, alleging their intentions to lead the country towards division rather than prioritizing its welfare.

Addressing a press conference at BJP state election office here, Bhattacharjee accused the Communists of pushing the nation towards partition while ironically claiming to defend the constitution. He particularly singled out former Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Sarkar, for allegedly spreading misinformation during election rallies. Bhattacharya refuted claims of progress in Tripura, highlighting issues of unemployment and scarcity of food.

Furthermore, Bhattacharjee condemned the alliance between the Communists and Congress, citing historical grievances where the Communists accused Congress of forming militant groups in Tripura. He suggested that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) has resorted to aligning with Congress due to its declining influence, aiming to establish a dictatorship by undermining democracy.

Bhattacharjee emphasized the public’s awareness against the divisive agenda of the Communists and Congress, asserting that their alliance does not serve the country’s interests.
