Narikelkunja gets relief from the power outage after CM’s intervention

Agartala: April 18. As a result of the quick action of the chief minister’s office, the people of the concerned area including tourists traveling to Narikelkunja in Dumboor of Gandacherra got relief from the power outage due to severe lightning.

After news regarding the power outage in Narikelkunja was published in the newspaper today, the news came to the attention of the Chief Minister’s office, and necessary steps were taken to solve it quickly.

Sources from the CM’s office said that according to the news, the electricity service has been in trouble for a long time in Narikelkunja of Dumboor reservoir.

“Although the private company FEDCO was informed locally in the power department, it was not being addressed. AC machines in modern log huts are not running due to electrical faults. As a result, local residents including tourists from the state and outside the state who visit Narikelkunja were facing severe difficulties. Realizing the importance of the matter after the publication of the information, the Chief Minister’s office directly contacted the Managing Director of Tripura State Electricity Corporation and directed to start electricity service in Narikelkunja immediately”, the official from the CM office said.

He further informed that in view of this, the corporation issued instructions to the concerned private organization FEDCO to take necessary measures.

“Electricity Corporation has informed this afternoon that after the necessary repair of power lines, electricity service has resumed in the area.
