National Mobile Medical Unit flagged off in Khowai

Agartala, 25th June 2026:    Healthcare services are set to reach the remotest corners of Khowai district with the formal launch of the National Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) on Thursday. The initiative, implemented under the CSR health programme of Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited, aims to provide essential medical care to underserved communities.

The inauguration and flag-off ceremony, held at the District Magistrate and Collector’s conference hall, was attended by senior officials including the District Magistrate and Collector, representatives from Tata AIG’s Mumbai and Agartala offices, partner organizations, and other dignitaries.

The MMU will carry doctors, health workers, and medical equipment to rural areas, offering health check-ups, primary care, and awareness activities. Officials emphasized that the initiative will strengthen local healthcare infrastructure and ensure accessible, affordable services for residents of remote regions.

This milestone marks a significant step towards inclusive healthcare delivery in Khowai district.
