Ratan Lal Nath gifts Queen pineapples to IndiGo crew, showcasing Tripura’s pride

Date:

Agartala, 25th June 2026:    Tripura’s famed Queen Pineapple once again became a symbol of pride and goodwill today, as Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath shared that the fruit was gifted to the pilot, co-pilot, and cabin crew of an IndiGo flight during his journey from Agartala to New Delhi.

“This heartfelt gesture reflects our gratitude and showcases the richness of Tripura’s soil and the dedication of our hardworking farmers,” Nath said. He emphasized that the Queen Pineapple is more than just a fruit — it embodies the growing pride of the state and its people.

The gesture comes in the run-up to the Tripura Global Pineapple Festival 2026, scheduled to be held from June 27 to June 29 at the iconic Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi. The festival aims to highlight Tripura’s agricultural excellence and promote its Queen Pineapple on the global stage.
