Agartala, June 24, 2023: A growing concern over environmental pollution has prompted the National Youth Project Tripura State Council to organize an awareness program, urging citizens to take action. The program took place in front of Ujjayanta Palace in the capital on Saturday.

The secretary of the National Youth Project, Tripura State Council Dipak Kumar Sinha, highlighted the alarming increase in environmental pollution caused by various daily activities. He emphasized the need to conserve resources, particularly petrol and diesel, as unnecessary wastage contributes to pollution.

Sinha suggested the installation of traffic signals at city intersections to prevent vehicles from running when stopped, thereby reducing fuel wastage. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of respecting railway crossings and encouraged pedestrians to strictly adhere to traffic signals.

The awareness program aimed to inform and educate individuals about their role in mitigating pollution and promoting a cleaner environment.
