Agartala, 15th July 2024 : In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, NCC police station staff on Monday arrested three drug dealers in the Barjala area of Agartala city. Acting on information from secret sources, the police conducted a targeted raid leading to the arrests.
During the operation, authorities seized 560 vials of brown sugar, cash amounting to Rs 2,00,980 and a mobile phone. Police estimate the black market value of the confiscated drugs to be approximately Rs 1.50 lakh. The arrested individuals have been identified as Animesh Ghosh, Sanjay Debnath and Chayan Roy.
“The successful raid is a result of our ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the city,” said the officer in charge of the NCC police station. “We remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community.”
The police are continuing their investigation to uncover further details and connections related to the drug trafficking network.
