Agartala, 29th November 2025: In Madhupur, police arrested Rubel Mia from Harihardula West Para after recovering Yaba tablets worth ₹4 lakh from a cupboard in his house. Some tablets were also found outside the premises.
Rubel, who was produced in court on Saturday, claimed he was framed, a claim his family also echoed. Police, however, maintain the operation was based on accurate intelligence.
Madhupur PS has now registered 13 NDPS cases in 2025, the highest among all police stations in Tripura so far, according to district police sources.
