New Disha Women’s Cluster celebrates achievements with prize distribution ceremony

Agartala, 25th February 2025:   The New Disha Women’s Cluster Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited under the aegis of Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission organized a prize distribution ceremony for cluster-level beneficiaries.

Harekrishna Goswami, a member of Gomati Zilla Parishad inaugurated the ceremony. The inauguration was attended by Tepania Block BDO Dibyashree Dasgupta, Panchayat Samiti Chairman Jharna Rani Das, and DCM Abhinandan Deb, among others.

Addressing the gathering, Harekrishna Goswami emphasized the importance of empowering women’s groups and village organizations under the New Disha Women’s Cluster. “By strengthening and empowering all the women’s groups and village organizations, we can ensure the development of our village through livelihood, health, education, rights, and the construction of every sister’s family,” he said.

He further praised the efforts of the SHG, VO, and CLF workers, highlighting their role in ensuring that the various projects provided by the state and central government reach the common people of the village swiftly. “The dedication and cooperation shown by these workers are highly commendable,” Goswami added.

During the ceremony, the guests distributed prizes to 51 SHG team sisters, acknowledged five marriages, and awarded 70 CSPs. These awards were intended to motivate the sisters to continue their efforts and contribute to the betterment of the village.
