Agartala, 10th July 2025: Sri Prem Ghanananda Maharaj, the revered President of Ramakrishna Mission inaugurated the newly constructed school building of Ramkrishna Vidyapith at the Ramkrishna Ashram campus in Dewan Pasha, Dharmanagar.
The auspicious ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sajal Debnath, educator Nitu Bhushan Bhattacharya and school chairman Barun Das alongside the teaching faculty. Maharaj was also joined by spiritual representatives from Shreebhumi Ashram, Assam.
During his address, Maharaj emphasized the Mission’s commitment to holistic and value-based education. He reflected on the Gurukul tradition, where spiritual teachings were integrated with academic learning, and affirmed that Ramakrishna Mission continues to uphold this legacy. “Our education system nurtures not just the intellect but the soul — offering children insights into Sanatan Dharma alongside modern studies,” he remarked.
Maharaj also proposed that the school committee consider extending classes up to Class V to accommodate growing interest and demand for value-oriented education.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude, he said he was deeply moved by the spontaneous and enthusiastic turnout at the event. “This overwhelming response is a testament to the enduring respect and belief people have in combining education with the spiritual essence of Sanatan Hindu Dharma,” he noted.
The inauguration marks a new chapter in Ramkrishna Vidyapith’s journey, where academic excellence meets cultural and spiritual grounding — a blend that continues to shape young minds with purpose and integrity.
