Newly constructed food storage of 1000 MTs inaugurated at Santirbazar

Agartala, January 16, 2023: With the financial support of the state government, a food storage was constructed in the area adjacent to Santibazar RD office. This food storage has been shifted for construction of Santirbazar Trauma Care Centre. With the initiative of PWD department, the construction of the food storage started on March 30,2020 and completed on March 03, 2022 while Rs 1 crore 37 lakh 85 thousand 50 has been spent it. The newly constructed food warehouse was inaugurated with a ceremony on Monday.

Santirbazar MLA Pramod Reang inaugurated the food storage with a capacity of 1000 MT, unveiling the plaque and cutting ribbon. Food Minister Manoj Kanti Deb was supposed to inaugurate this food warehouse, but due to some other important work, he could not come.

Today’s inauguration ceremony was attended by Swapna Baidya, chairman of Santirbazar Municipal Council, Shridam Das, Chairman of Panchayat Samiti under Bagafa Block, Tapas Marak, Executive Officer of Public Works Department, Malay Chowdhury, Officer of Food Department of Santirbazar Sub-Division, Councilor Rajib Chakraborty and other guests.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony today, the MLA presented some information to the public about the various benefits of this food storage. Today’s inauguration ceremony witnessed great enthusiasm among the people present.
