Nikhil Tripura Mahanam Sevak Sangh announces 4-day program for newly built temple spire inauguration

Agartala, 22nd March 2026:   The Nikhil Tripura Mahanam Sevak Sangh has announced a series of programs to mark the inauguration of the newly constructed temple spire. The events will be held from March 24 to March 27, office bearers revealed at a press conference here today.

Present at the briefing were President Rabindra Chandra Saha, Mathadhyaksha Swadhibandhu Brahmachari, Secretary Sudip Kumar Roy, and Advisor Committee Convener Dr. Tapan Debnath. Also in attendance was Brahmachari Bandhurup from Kolkata.

Secretary Sudip Kumar Roy outlined the schedule, which includes Bhagavat recitation, yajna, religious assemblies, and cultural programs. The festivities will begin on March 24 with the installation of the Mangal Ghat, followed in the evening by a Srimad Bhagavat reading delivered by Srimat Bandhu Gaurav Brahmachari, the All-India Secretary of the Mahanam community. On March 25, the evening session will feature another recitation of the Srimad Bhagavat. March 26 will commence with a special puja at 7 a.m., leading to the formal unveiling of the temple spire, an event expected to be attended by Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Mayor Dipak Majumder, and Corporator Ratna Dutta. The celebrations will conclude on March 27 with the Bandhu Smaran Mangal Yajna, purification rituals, the offering and distribution of bhog, and a religious assembly accompanied by cultural programs.

Temple authorities have urged devotees to participate in the celebrations. Established in 1982, the temple will attain its complete form with the spire inauguration. The premises also include 22 rooms for devotees, available at a nominal cost.
