Agartala, November 24: The NLU Tripura conducted another School-Connect Programme at Hindi Higher Secondary School Abhoy Nagar for the students of class 11 and 12.
The programme is an initiative by the NLU Tripura with a theme of “Let us work together for the children of Tripura”. It aims to empower students as well as foster an interest in legal education among students from schools in the northeastern states of India, particularly emphasizing benefits for the state of Tripura.
The session was led by the Vice-Chancellor of NLU Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, wherein he discussed and highlighted the importance of fundamental rights and duties as citizens of the country, and also gave emphasis on the endless contributions made by lawyers towards society and various legal choices available to students.
The session ended with an interactive round of Q&A from the students and the speaker.
Merelin Darlong, Assistant Professor of English and Coordinator, School Connect programme, and the Principal of the school Bipin Kumar Singh, and teachers participated in the event.
