Agartala: October 14. Royal scion and chairman of TIPRA Motha Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma today made it clear that without ‘Greater Tipraland’ demand in black and white there will be no alliance or compromise.

While speaking at TTAADC during unveiling of statues of three leaders including Shyama Charan Tripura, Nagendra Jamatia and Bir Bikram Jamatia, the royal scion said, “There are very less people who have truly fought politically or socially and have sacrificed entire life. Shayma Charan Tripura, Nagendra Tripura, Bir Bikram Jamatia had fought for ADC. Bir Bikram Jamatia has sacrificed his life for tiprasa people but apart from them there are so many people who have many contributions for the tiprasa people”.

He said, “After we formed council in TTAADC we have accepted a challenge that in Tripura we will never forgot our culture or our history. Those who fought for tiprasa and if we can’t give them respect in ADC then this would be very wrong. I am very happy that administration has collectively worked to give respect to these leaders. Without their contribution Khumulwng would have been not there. Next generation should not forget the sacrifices of such people. But real respect is when we will achieve our main demand ‘Greater Tipraland’.”

Pradyot claimed that fighting against system is not easy. “Today being from a royal family I am fighting for my tiprasa and facing many obstacles. Those leaders also fought but never compromises. If they didn’t comprise with tiprasa then why should we?  They never compromise and fought for people. No alliance and compromises without getting our demands in black and white. We don’t want money as money may come and go but we want something permanent”, said Pradyot.
