Agartala, September 30. On the auspicious day of “Maha Panchami Tithi” of “Devi Paksha”, the Mahila Morcha leaders and office-bearers of North Tripura district committee felicitated the newborn baby girls and their mothers at North Tripura district hospital here at Dharmanagar on Friday.
Mahila Mocha North Tripura district president Rupali Adhikari, general secretaries Nirjala Das and Namita Kar along with office bearers of Morcha were present. Mahila Morcha presented a profound message to the society by holding this innovative program.
Members of the District Mahila Morcha, who came to welcome ten newly born baby girls were compared to the appearance of an Aishwarya as ten daughters were born at the same time in Dharmanagar District Hospital. Rubber seats for each child, packets of sweets and memorandums for mothers of the children were given. Not only that, sweets are given to every mother in maternity ward and every sister and workers on duty in the hospital.Today’s event is held as part of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on women empowerment.
