Agartala, 14th July 2026 : The Superintendent of Police (North) chaired the Monthly Crime Conference at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Superintendent of Police, North District, to review policing priorities and strengthen operational preparedness across the district.
The conference was attended by the Additional Superintendent of Police (North), all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Deputy Superintendents of Police (Dy. SPs), Officers-in-Charge of Police Stations and Outposts, CTIs, and other district police officers.
During the meeting, the SP conducted a comprehensive review of crime trends, the progress of important investigations, and the prevailing law and order situation across the district. Discussions also focused on preventive policing measures, administrative and operational challenges, and strategies to improve policing efficiency and public service delivery.
Emphasising the importance of effective policing, the Superintendent of Police directed officers to ensure timely investigation of cases, maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, and adopt a community-oriented approach in serving the public. Field officers were instructed to strengthen coordination, enhance accountability, and ensure prompt response to public grievances.
As part of the conference, police personnel who displayed outstanding performance, dedication, and commitment to duty were felicitated in recognition of their exemplary service.
The meeting reaffirmed the North District Police’s commitment to proactive policing, coordinated teamwork, transparency, and citizen-centric service. Officials reiterated that these efforts would continue to strengthen peace, security, and public confidence in the police across the district.
