Agartala, 15th June 2026: A three-day public welfare camp was inaugurated today at Ampi Nagar Community Hall in Amarpur, Gomati district, under the initiative of Ompi RD Block. The event witnessed the participation of dignitaries from various departments alongside local residents.
Ampi-41 constituency MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia formally inaugurated the programme in the presence of distinguished guests. Multiple line departments, including agriculture, fisheries, ICDS, forest, and veterinary services, directly engaged with villagers, providing essential facilities. Fingerlings were distributed by the fisheries department, medicines by veterinary officials, and saplings by the forest department. Authorities also facilitated the issuance of PRTC, ST, SC, OBC, birth, death, and income certificates.
Ompi Subdivision SA Nibash Debbarma highlighted the Khet Bachao Abhiyaan campaign and addressed farming-related departmental issues. Speaking to the gathering, MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia emphasized the need for transparent governance, stating:
“We want an administrative system where every family can exercise democratic rights and access departmental provisions without obstacles. Misappropriation, cheating, bribery, or delays in public service will not be tolerated. Strong action will be taken against proven misconduct. Our goal is to ensure smooth administration that benefits the poor.”
Among the notable attendees were Sibsonlian Kaipeng (MDC), Sindhu Chandra Jamatia (BAC Chairman), Ruatfela Darlong (BDO), Kamal Kalai (MDC), Satya Mohan Jamatia (Ampi Block Mandal President), along with several other dignitaries.
