Agartala: October 31. Tripura Police has arrested one person for allegedly stabbing a person in Hapania area yesterday late night.The victim Krishna Dutta, husband of Shikha Dutta Majumdar, a resident of Hapania area of Agartala came under attack while returning home from Siddhi Ashram. However the person is currently undergoing treatment at hospital.
The accused person identified as Samrat Debnath blockade the raod of Krishna Dutta of the area adjacent to TMC Hospital nad got him off the scooty and stabbed him with a knife. Seeing this incident, the locals rushed to the spot and took Krishna Dutta to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the accused Samrat Debnath escaped from the spot.
After receiving information about the incident, the police of Amtali police station arrested the accused Samrat Debnath and handed him over to the court on Monday. According to the police, the investigation of the incident has been started. The police are doing their duty to ensure that the accused gets strict punishment. And the police said that the investigation is going on as to what caused this incident. There has been a stir in the area around this incident.
