Agartala, 5th November 2023: In a commendable display of community vigilance, local residents of Bairagi Bazar Jumerchepa took matters into their own hands, apprehending notorious drug dealer Nazir Hossain, who had been plaguing the area with the distribution of brown sugar for an extended period.
Hossain, known to be a constant consumer of the illicit substance, was finally brought to justice on Sunday, as residents handed him over to the Melaghar police station. For far too long, Nazir Hossain, son of Atul Mia, had been preying on the youth of Bairagi Bazar Jumerchepa, ensnaring them in the clutches of addiction through his insidious trade in brown sugar.
Despite numerous warnings from local public representatives, Hossain brazenly persisted in his nefarious activities, callously disregarding the pleas of the community. Upon receiving word of Hossain’s illicit operations, concerned locals promptly took action, leading to his apprehension along with four containers of brown sugar. The Melaghar police station swiftly responded to the scene, ensuring the arrest of the notorious drug dealer.
