One injured in road rage

Agartala, 24th December 2023:   In a shocking incident, 70-year-old Gopal Dutta, a resident of [Locality], was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident as he was returning home after a morning tea outing at Charilam Bazaar.

The incident occurred earlier today when Gopal Dutta was struck by a speeding car near the popular tea shop in Charilam Bazaar. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle attempted to flee the scene, leaving Gopal Dutta seriously injured. Swiftly responding to the emergency, locals rushed Gopal Dutta to Vishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. Recognizing the severity of his injuries, medical authorities at Vishalgarh referred him to Hapaniya Hospital for specialized care.

However, due to the critical condition of Gopal Dutta, he was further referred to GB Hospital, where he is currently fighting for his life. According to him, Gopal Dutta had visited a local shop in Charilam Bazaar earlier in the morning. After enjoying a cup of tea, he began his journey back home, only to be struck by the speeding car. Outraged by the hit-and-run incident, local residents managed to apprehend the fleeing vehicle and promptly handed it over to the police.
