Opposition deteriorates law and order situation & blames government, says CM releasing Progress Report Card

Agartala, January 04, 2022: Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday castigated the opposition political parties for deteriorating the law and order situation of the state at various time and want to impose responsibility on the government because they have workers that way throughout their political career and everyone knows their history. Even before this, the party that was in government has also worked with disorganization, he added.

While unveiling the report card related to Tripura’s progress and success report organized by the state government at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan here, Dr Saha said “In terms of law and order, Tripura ranks fifth from the bottom among the 28 states of the country. The current government wants to work with everyone. The government is working with that goal. This government wants to work by maintaining peace and harmony because development is not possible without peace and harmony.”

“After the establishment of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in 2018, Tripura is moving towards development. One of the goals of the present state government is to achieve the development or welfare of the last person. And the government is working with that purpose. In this situation, after the current government came to power, the report card was presented regarding what developmental work has been implemented in various departments of the government”, he added.

On Wednesday, a program organized at Hall No-I of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan here highlighted the direction of development and success of the present state government. A report card of these developments is presented to facilitate informing the citizens of the state. Chief Minister Dr Saha inaugurated the event in presence of Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Urban Development minister Manoj Kanti Deb, Cooperatives Minister Ramprasad Pal, Scheduled Caste Welfare minister Bhagaban Chandra Das, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Planning and Coordination department Secretary Apurba Roy and other secretaries and officials of various departments of the state government were present as distinguished guests on the occasion.

In his inaugural speech, Chief Minister said that the promises made by the state government to the people regarding development have been implemented on time. All the developments that have been made during the government’s four and a half or five and a half years rule have been presented to the people. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should do what he says. The state government is also working in that direction. The Prime Minister assured Tripura state of diamond model. What exactly is that HIRA model? When we say HIRA in English, highway comes first. Currently 6 national highways are under construction in the state. Funds have been allocated for 7 more national highways and 4 roofways. The national highway from Churaibari to Agartala in Uttar district is being four-lane. Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has allocated Rs 10,222 crore for these works. Tripura state has become the third strongest gateway in the country in terms of internet. In this, various information of the country and abroad are coming to hand in a moment. At present about 11 express trains are regularly going to foreign countries from Tripura. Earlier Tripura state had meter gauge rail service. Broad gauge rail services are currently in operation. Agartala railway station is going to be one of the most beautiful stations in the country.
