Agartala, January 04, 2023: In the past, people had to face special difficulties for commuting in Padma Mohan Para, an area adjacent to Kalachara Bazar under Santirbazar assembly constituency.
Before the formation of the BJP-led government in the state, MLA Pramod Reang promised the local people to construct this road. As per the MLA’s consent, the road is constructed using paver blocks for a length of about 3 kilometres and Rs 3 crore 81 lakh 74 thousand 501 have been spent on the construction of this road.
This work was done by the Public Works department. The construction of this road started in March 02, 2021 and completed on November 30, 2022.
Although the newly constructed road was supposed to be inaugurated with the hands of the Deputy Chief Minister, but he could not attend the inauguration ceremony due to special difficulties. So the newly constructed road was inaugurated today in the presence of the MLA.
MLA Pramod Reang was accompanied by Bagafa Block Panchayat Samiti Chairman Shridam Das, PWD Executive Engineer Tapas Marak, SDO Prabir Baran Das, Santirbazar Municipal Council ex-chairman Biswajit Das and other guests were present in this inaugural function.
The residents are quite happy with the construction of this road. Local residents said that in the past, they had to face special difficulties to travel through this road. The local people got this road without any movement for the development program of the current state government. So everyone thanked the state government for the construction of this road.
