Agartala, 8th April 2026: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education has started evaluating answer scripts for the ongoing secondary and higher secondary examinations. However, the board’s chairman, Dr. Dhananjay G. Choudhury, has indicated that this year’s results may be delayed by up to a week beyond the scheduled date.
During an on-site visit to oversee the evaluation process, Dr. Choudhury suggested that the delay could be linked to the ongoing ADC elections, as teachers’ involvement in election duties has somewhat slowed the evaluation work.
The evaluation process officially commenced on April 6 across six schools. Four schools are responsible for secondary exam assessments: Bani Vidyapith Girls’ School, Bodhjung Girls’ School, Kamini Kumar Higher Secondary School, and Vijaykumar Girls’ School. Meanwhile, higher secondary exam evaluations are taking place at Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan and Bardowali Class 12 School.
This year, approximately 2,200 teachers are engaged in the evaluation process. The board has assured that every effort is being made to complete the work on time, with the aim of announcing results by the first week of May.
