Overcrowding in Local Train Leaves Passengers Stranded at Jolaibari Station

Date:

Agartala,  12th  October 2026 :  Passengers faced severe inconvenience due to overcrowding in a local train at Jolaibari railway station, with many reportedly unable to board their scheduled train despite purchasing tickets.

According to complaints, the excessive rush inside the train prevented several passengers from boarding, leaving them struggling to reach their destinations on time. Those travelling for urgent work were particularly affected by the situation.

The incident triggered resentment among passengers, who raised questions over the management of railway services and the arrangements made to accommodate commuters.

Passengers have called for necessary measures to ease overcrowding and improve the commuting experience. Whether the railway authorities will consider increasing train services or introduce effective crowd management measures to prevent such incidents remains to be seen.
