Agartala, September 13: A head teacher of Madhuban Dukli High School faced the wrath of the parents on Wednesday for allegedly beating the students for not learning to read. A parent entered the school and protested against the teacher’s discipline and demanded his transfer from the school.

The name of the head teacher is Debabrata Sarkar. According to the parents, he severely beat a student with a cane on Tuesday, causing him to develop a fever. The student’s mother burst into tears and complained to the school authorities.

The parents also alleged that Sarkar beat the students every day for their poor performance. They demanded his punishment and transfer from the school. They said that he was not fit to be a teacher and that he was harming the students’ mental and physical health.

The school authorities tried to calm down the parents and assured them that the matter would be looked into at a later date. They said that they would take appropriate action against the teacher if he was found guilty of misconduct.

However, Sarkar denied the allegations and said that he only used a cane to discipline the students who did not learn to read. He said that some students pulled their hands back and the cane hit other parts of their body. He said that he was not abusive and that he only wanted to improve the students’ education.
