Agartala, 18th December 2023:    In a display of frustration and concern, parents of students attending the 12th school in Bisramganj locked the gates of the institution earlier today, demanding immediate action to address the critical shortage of primary school teachers. The protest was triggered by the recent transfer of two teachers, exacerbating an already dire situation that has adversely impacted the quality of education.

The 12th school, catering to the primary division, currently grapples with the challenge of managing the education of its students with only 8 teachers. The situation worsened when two teachers were transferred to other schools, leaving a noticeable void in the teaching staff. This has led to an increase in workload, affecting the overall academic environment of the school.

Among the multitude of issues faced by the school, parents cite the shortage of teachers as a primary concern, leading them to take drastic measures to draw attention to the matter. The locked gates symbolize their collective frustration and insistence on immediate action.

Upon receiving news of the protest, high-ranking government officials, accompanied by a contingent of teachers, swiftly responded to the situation. A teacher from the school acknowledged the problem, revealing that two teachers had been transferred to other schools, assuming head teacher positions. To address the brewing crisis, a meeting has been scheduled for today, during which plans to expedite the appointment of new teachers will be discussed.

The concerned teacher assured the public that steps are being taken to resolve the issue promptly.
