Agartala, 8th August 2024: Parents of students at Maharani Tulsibati Girls’ HS School have expressed their frustration and anger over the newly implemented timetable. Previously, the nursery and KG classes were scheduled from 7 AM to 8:30 AM. However, the new timetable extends the school hours from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
Concerned parents questioned the practicality of such long hours for young children. On Thursday, they met with the headmistress to discuss their concerns, stating that it is unreasonable to expect nursery children to stay in school for four hours.
In response, the headmistress explained that the new schedule was mandated by the education department, following a visit from department officials on Wednesday last. She emphasized that the school is simply adhering to the guidelines provided and has no control over the changes.
