Patient dies due to alleged negligence of treatment IGM

Date:

 BY TC News Desk

Agartala, 10th September 2023:  Again, due to lack of treatment, a patient has reportedly died in IGM Hospital in Agartala today.Allegations have been made against the health workers of the hospital.

Allegedly, Pratima Rudra Pal, a resident of Konavan, was admitted to IGM Hospital on Sunday morning due to fever and respiratory illness.

Then the doctor comes and informs that the patient’s condition is critical. As usual, after administering saline to the patient, no doctor or nurse of the hospital came to inquire about the patient for a long time. Meanwhile, after the patient’s physical condition deteriorated, the family members went to the nurse and informed the matter. But still for a long time the nurse did not come to see the physical condition of the patient.

Later, after collecting the patient’s blood, within a few moments, Pratima fell into the lap of death. Then the nurse came and told me that the patient had been referred.

But the patient’s family is also not aware why that matter was not informed to the patient’s family. So it is clear that the patient died due to lack of treatment.

Therefore, the patient’s family said that they will approach the law regarding the matter. They also raised their fingers about hospital services. They said the service in the hospital is not good at all. If the service was good, the patient would not have died like this.

However, even after a few days of complaints about bad services in the hospital, the officials of the health department are shaking. Hospital authorities and office officials do not have an answer as to why the patients and their families have to go to the hospital and suffer and die without treatment.
