Agartala, 7th November 2023: In a proactive move to dispel any confusion surrounding the impending visit of Priyanka Gandhi to the state ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha addressed party workers at a meeting held at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan today. Saha assured party members and the public that once the date is finalized, it will be communicated promptly to avoid any misinformation. He emphasized the need for clarity and unity within the party as some elements are attempting to spread confusion.
During the meeting, Saha disclosed that organizational meetings have already commenced in various districts in preparation for Priyanka Gandhi’s visit. He mentioned that the Pradesh Congress is actively engaged in coordinating efforts to ensure a seamless and impactful visit by the Congress leaders. Prominent Congress members are actively participating in these organizational efforts. MLA and CWC member Sudip Roy Barman conducted visits to Dharmanagar and Unakoti district on Thursday. Simultaneously, former minister Manindra Reang and other Congress leaders embarked on a tour of the southern district to bolster organizational activities.
Saha concluded the meeting by stating that Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are expected to visit the state soon, underlining the significance of a united front to strengthen the party’s position in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
