Agartala, September 29: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Friday said that the state is witnessing the emergence of several new industries due to the prevailing atmosphere of peace, which he emphasized is crucial for establishment of industries.

Dr. Saha said this during the inauguration of a tour and motivational workshop for 100 young men and women at the Bodhjungnagar Industrial Estate.

“Peace is the key to establishing industry in Tripura. The development of new industries is a direct result of this peaceful environment. Entrepreneurs are being actively encouraged to set up industries, which is contributing to the economic development of the state. An advanced communication system is a fundamental requirement for industrial establishment, and I’m pleased to say that Tripura has made significant progress in this regard.

This progress has not only attracted local industrialists but also entrepreneurs from outside the state who are now showing interest in setting up industries here. The diamond model introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has yielded positive results in Tripura. The upcoming Agartala-Akhaura rail link, connecting Bangladesh by rail, is a significant development. This new communication system will undoubtedly facilitate the expansion of industry and trade between the two countries.”

Dr Saha affirmed that the government is committed to the overall development of the state and the welfare of its people.

“We currently have a conducive environment for the establishment of industries in our state,” Dr. Saha concluded. He also commended the Yuva Tripura, New Tripura, and Atmanirbhar Tripura programs initiated by the Tripura Industrial Development Corporation, aimed at providing 100 youths from each district with valuable experience and encouraging visits to industrial cities within the state.

The program was attended by Industry and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik, Principal Secretary of Industry and Commerce Viswasree B, and Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank Satyendra Singh.
