Agartala, 13th June 2025: A tragic road accident late last night claimed the life of a pedestrian on the national highway near Bishalgarh block. The victim has been identified as Sunil Barman, was a resident of Shital Tilla, Bishalgarh.
According to police reports, the accident took place when a motorcycle, allegedly being ridden at excessive speed struck Barman fatally. Authorities arrested the two individuals on the bike Hridoy Debnath and Kaushik Chakraborty along with the vehicle. Sources indicate that both youths were under the influence of brown sugar at the time of the crash.
Police officials have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident..
