People now call ‘percentage’ seeing corrupt BJP ministers and MLAs: New PCC President Asish Kumar Saha

BY TC News Desk

Agartala, June 19, 2023: Former MLA Asish Kumar Saha sat on the Pradesh Congress president’s chair on Monday holding the hands of former Chief Minister Samir Ranjan Barman and MLA Sudip Roy Barman. Congress workers and supporters congratulated the day by handing over a wreath to the state Congress president Asish Kumar Saha. Ever since Sudip and Asish returned to the Congress from the Bharatiya Janata Party, there were rumors in political circles that one of the two was going to be the state Congress president.

Gradually the oxygen level of that hum starts to decrease. But three months after the assembly elections, Asish Kumar Saha’s name was suddenly announced as the state Congress by the All India Congress on the night of Saturday last. Since then, there has been no response or sighting of former state Congress president Birajit Sinha, Congress’ comrade in arms. However, after long speculations ended, the new picture was seen at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan on Monday. Ashish Kumar Saha sat on the seat holding the hands of his father and son and fired cannons against the BJP.

He said that on June 17, BJP state president JP Nadda tried to accuse Congress as corrupt in a rally of BJP at Santirbazar. Reacting to this, Saha said that the people of Tripura state have also sacrificed a lot for the country. And Narendra Modi’s government is making the country poor by sacrificing the country to the capitalists. Now again their state president has come to Tripura and is calling Congress corrupt. But if Rahul Gandhi wants to answer the BJP’s activities in Parliament, they are unable to answer. Due to which they have conspired to expel Rahul Gandhi from Parliament.

Because of the central government, the state is under an autocratic rule. Ministers, MLAs are now drowning in that corruption. People call out percentages when they see them. And the percentage of MLAs or ministers who have committed corruption are called percentage. Now public opinion in the state is no longer on the side of BJP, Saha alleged.

Pradesh Congress President decided that Congress will gift two seats in Tripura state to Rahul Gandhi in 2024. He also said that those who left the Congress and joined the BJP before and after 2018, are urged to rejoin the Congress to meet the expectations of the people of the state in the coming days.
