Agartala, 15th May 2025:  Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday said that addressing the basic problems of the people remains one of the key priorities of the current government, and Tripura is witnessing steady progress across various sectors including health, education, and sports.

Speaking to the media in Agartala on the occasion of completing three years in office, Dr. Saha attributed the achievements of his government to the trust and support of the people.

“Three years have passed since I took charge as the Chief Minister. I was just telling the officers—I can’t even tell how these three years have flown by. We work tirelessly from morning to night. The days have passed beautifully, immersed in service. What we have done for the people will become a big story someday,” he said.

Dr. Saha noted that of the three years, two have been under the BJP-led government, and one year before that as CM starting May 15, 2022. He emphasized that transparency and public welfare have been at the core of his government’s functioning.

“All credit for whatever work has been done or any success we’ve achieved goes to the people. This success has come through their inspiration and trust—both in us and in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Centre has been generously allocating welfare projects, and the state is sincerely implementing them. The feedback has been very positive, and that brings us immense satisfaction,” he added.

Highlighting sectoral growth, the Chief Minister said Tripura has made visible progress in areas like health and education. “The Vidya Jyoti initiative has yielded impressive results. The graph is going up steadily. We are also witnessing improvements in agriculture and electricity. Of course, challenges remain in some areas, but we are working hard to address them. Our aim is to bring progress across all fields—be it health, education, sports, or infrastructure. People are responding positively, and that is encouraging.”
