Piglets distributed among beneficiaries in Jolaibari

Agartala Nov 05: Piglets were distributed among 9 beneficiaries under the initiative of Fisheries Department of Jolaibari Block.The state government is working to make the backward people of the state financially independent. In view of this, under the initiative of the Department of Fisheries, various facilities including fish fries and fishing nets are being provided to the economically backward people.

On Saturday, piglets were distributed to 9 beneficiaries under the initiative of Fisheries Department from ST Welfare Fund. Rs 20,000 were spent per each beneficiary for this project. President of Jolaibari Block Agricultural Standing Committee Bikas Baidya, Jolaibari Block Panchayat Samiti Vice Chairman Tapas Dutta, Fisheries Department Sub-Divisional Officer Watson Ryan, Fisheries Officer Supriti Dey and others were present in this event.
