Agartala, 2nd August 2025: A tragic incident took place at the construction site of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Jirania today, where a plumber lost his life after falling from an under-construction building while on duty.
According to a police official who spoke to media personnel, the accident happened during regular work hours. “We received the alert this morning and immediately rushed to the spot. The workers had been engaged at this site for several days. Unfortunately, the mishap occurred while the plumber was on the job,” the officer said.
The deceased’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities have yet to release the name of the victim.
