Agartala, 29th August 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 02 is set to inaugurate the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) nationwide membership drive for 2024. The campaign aimed at expanding the party’s base ahead of the upcoming elections, will kick off with Modi’s launch and will be followed by state-level initiatives.
The following day i.e. on September 3, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will officially launch the membership drive in the state of Tripura. The BJP plans to extend this campaign from the state level down to the booth level, ensuring widespread participation across the country.
During a press conference at the BJP office on Thursday, the party’s general secretary and MLA Bhagaban Chandra Das emphasized the importance of the drive. He urged party workers and the general public to join the BJP, highlighting the dual online and offline registration options available.
Das also outlined the two-phase structure of the campaign, with the first phase running from September 2 to September 25, and the second phase from October 1 to October 15. This 40-day nationwide initiative aims to bolster the BJP’s membership and strengthen its grassroots presence.
“The membership drive is crucial for the party’s growth and will involve reaching out to people directly to inform them about the benefits of joining the BJP,” said Das, calling on all members and supporters to actively participate in the campaign.
