Police Arrest Bangladeshi National in Krishnanagar

Agartala, 5th January 2026:  The West Agatala police station have arrested a Bangladeshi national from the heart of Krishnanagar. The arrested youth has been identified as Babul Mia, who hails from the Nawabganj area in Bangladesh.

According to police sources, based on information received from a confidential source, raids were conducted today in several key areas of the city. During the operation, a young man was detained on suspicion of being a Bangladeshi national. Upon questioning, the individual reportedly admitted to illegally crossing the border and entering India.

Police officials stated that investigations are underway to determine the purpose of Babul Mia’s visit to India and the specific border point he used to enter the country. Authorities are also examining whether he is connected with any smuggling or trafficking networks. The arrested individual will be presented in court following due legal procedure.
