Agartala, 28th June 2026:  Police in Tripura have detained eight Bangladeshi nationals over the past 24 hours near the area of Agartala in connection with an alleged attempt to travel outside the state after entering India illegally.

According to officials, the Airport Police Station acted on specific intelligence that four Bangladeshi nationals would arrive in Tripura and attempt onward travel through Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport. Following surveillance, police first detained four individuals.
