Agartala, 10th September 2026 : Jatrabari police achieved a major breakthrough in their ongoing drive against illegal narcotics after recovering 10.3 kg of dried cannabis and 76 grams of yaba tablets during a raid at a house in Laltilla village.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Jatrabari police conducted a search at the residence of Dulal Hossain, a resident of Laltilla village. During the search, police recovered a large quantity of dried cannabis from inside the house.
Police subsequently searched a black-coloured vehicle parked beside the residence and allegedly recovered 76 grams of yaba tablets from the vehicle.
Following the raid, police detained house owner Dulal Hossain and brought him to Jatrabari Police Station for questioning. The seized narcotics, along with the vehicle, were also taken to the police station.
Police are now investigating whether Dulal Hossain has any links with the illegal trafficking or distribution of narcotic substances. Legal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the recovery, police said.
