Police recover body from Gomati River

Agartala: March 06. Tripura Police today recovered a body of a 55-year-old man from Gomati river in Udaipur.

Police said that the locals of the Udaipur area found the body first. “We have received information that people have found a floating body in River Gomati. We rushed to the spot and recovered the body. During preliminary interrogation we found that the man identified as Dilip Ghosh (55) he was a rickshaw driver and used to stay alone in an around Udaipur city”, said the Police.

He further informed that local sources said that two days back people have seen him near the bank of river and had reportedly consumed some tablets. Later nobody saw him but today locals found his body on the river. He was missing for the last two days.
