By TC News Desk

Agartala: March 06. Tapas Dey, Former MLA and Convener, TIPRA Citizens Federation (TCF) today wrote a letter to the Governor of the state Satyadeo Narayan Arya appealing for arresting the deterioration of law and order.

In the letter Dey said, “You must have observed that a cold wave of terror is surging the state immediately after the result of the election was over. An unforeseen trauma has gripped every corner the state. Dwelling houses, business establishments and rubber gardens are being vandalised in a systematic manner and are being put to fire indiscriminately. Property amounting to crores of money are being burnt, people are being mercilessly beaten and are being forced to pay extortion and, in a nutshell, an embargo has been created to the livelihood of toiling masses. There has been loss of human lives too”.

He alleged that a plot of system carnage has been hatched. A mindless state short of terrorism is sweeping the entire state from North to South and East to West.

“If Shri Kiran Gitte could conduct the election machinery smoothly, efficiently and without giving any scope of spilling of any blood, how come this Government can systematically destroy the good work done by Shri Gitte?”, he asked.

He said this sort of anarchy can’t be allowed to go for long.

“I appeal to you, My Excelling, to step in! The homeless people who have lost their lives should be adequately compensated with an assured Government job in each family, there is an observation of the High Court of Tripura in this regard.  It is high time that the desire of the  High Court is put to action. People are suffering their pain silently. It isn’t the mountain ahead that wears you out- it’s the grain of sand in your shoe”, the letter read.
