Agartala, June 29, 2023: The police have no initiative to arrest the main accused in the women trafficking ring of Boxanagar.
It is reported that with the help of Amena Khatun of Mollahmura area of Boxanagar and her two brothers Joydul Hossain and Ajibul Hossain, they sold a minor girl of Boxanagar to a sex village in Bangalore in lieu of a huge amount of money in the name of getting a good job outside Tripura.
After several months, the minor girl somehow escaped from the sex village and filed a written case against woman trafficker Amena Khatun along with her two brothers at Kalamchoura police station a month back.
Police registered a case number 62/2023 under sections 120(B), 366(A), 370, 376(i), 506 of IPC and POCSO Act. Accordingly, police arrested Amena Khatun’s two brothers, Joydul Hossain and Ajibul Hossain, currently they are in jail custody.
But on the other hand, Amena Khatun, the main mastermind of the women trafficking ring, has been kept away from police custody for some unknown reason. Currently Amena Khatun is threatening the minor victim from Chennai in various ways to withdraw the case. Not only this, Amena Khatun is threatening the minor girl that if the case is not withdrawn then the minor girl will be severely harmed.
At present, the minor girl is unable to leave the house due to the fear of Amena Khatun, the main accused in the incident. Not only that, the minor girl is constantly living in fear. The family of the minor girl complains that the police can do anything if they want, but they cannot understand why the main accused Amena Khatun is not being arrested from Chennai by the police.
On behalf of Amena Khatun, the victim, the minor girl is being told that the police cannot do anything about her. Not only this, Amena Khatun is spreading malicious propaganda against a person named Abdul Haque, a prominent social worker of Boxanagar area, sitting in Chennai. The people of Boxanagar area are still not able to understand what is the secret behind the police of Kalamchoura police not arresting Amena Khatun, the main accused in the women trafficking ring. But in this kind of role of the police, many questions have started to arise among the people of the area.
