Agartala, 21st May 2025 : As the dust settles on the elections, promises of development made by leaders seem to fade leaving residents frustrated over lingering infrastructural issues. In the Paschim Khilpara area under the Radha Kishorepur assembly constituency represented by the state’s finance minister—concerns over poor road conditions and inadequate drainage have resurfaced.
Despite assurances before the polls, residents report no significant improvement. The lack of paved roads and proper drainage continues to plague the locality, with rainwater flooding the streets after even light showers. This recurring problem has escalated public dissatisfaction, prompting warnings of possible road blockades as citizens demand urgent intervention. Locals argue that while development projects were announced, tangible progress remains elusive.
