Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath inaugurates joint election office

Agartala, 5th April 2024: Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath headed the inauguration of a collaborative election office, jointly established by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), TIPRA Motha, and IPFT, at Lefunga Bazar under Mohanpur assembly constituency on Friday.

The event was accompanied by a grand bike procession, showcasing a vibrant electoral fervor that swept through the Janjati-dominated locality of Lefunga, nestled under the jurisdiction of Mohanpur mandal. ADC executive member Runiel Debbarma, alongside officials and supporters from BJP, TIPRA Motha, and IPFT, actively participated in the procession, which culminated at Gamchakobra, further igniting the spirit of electoral participation.

Following the formal inauguration proceedings at Lefunga Bazar earlier in the day, Minister Nath engaged in extensive discussions with local residents, shedding light on pertinent election-related issues and underscoring the government’s developmental initiatives.

Taking to social media platform Facebook, Nath reflected on the day’s events, remarking, “Today witnessed a resplendent display of democratic fervor with a mammoth bike rally galvanizing electoral awareness among the inhabitants of Lefunga, a bastion of Janjati culture within the Mohanpur mandal. The transformational impact of development was palpable, as previously inaccessible areas now reverberated with the sounds of progress, symbolized by the procession of bikes and cars. The active participation of ADC executive member Runiel Debbarma, alongside representatives from BJP, Tipra Matha, and IPFT, underscored the collective commitment to democratic ideals. Our journey culminated at Gamchakobra, marking yet another milestone in our electoral endeavors.”

Furthermore, Minister Nath emphasized the commencement of door-to-door campaigning in Janjati-inhabited regions following the inauguration of the joint election office, orchestrated through seamless coordination among the three political entities.

As the election narrative gains momentum, the collaborative efforts of BJP, TIPRA Motha, and IPFT in Mohanpur Assembly underscore a strategic alliance aimed at amplifying the voices of diverse communities and fostering inclusive development agendas.
