Agartala, 26th June 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tripura Pradesh commemorated 11 years of nationwide development and welfare initiatives through the ‘Prabuddhajan Mata Bimni Sabha’ session held at Hall No. 2 of Unakoti Kalakshetra in Kailashahar. Hosted by Mandal No. 53, the event brought together intellectuals, party leaders and civic voices from across the Unkoti district.
The gathering drew participation from over 100 stakeholders, including retired professionals, educators, doctors, engineers and social activists. 53-Kailashahar Mandal President Pritam Ghosh, BJP state committee member Nitish Dey, former Kailashahar Mandal President Advocate Dinendra Kumar Pal, former State Secretary Bidhan Das and former Vice President Rathindra Bhattacharya were present.
In his address, Pritam Ghosh lauded the transformative changes ushered in during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, citing advancements in connectivity and public health. “In the last 11 years, the neglected communication network of the North East has been revitalized. Railway links, all-weather roads, and the rural healthcare system have seen a marked improvement. Schemes like Ayushman Bharat and PM Jan Arogya Yojana have ensured health coverage for the poor,” Ghosh stated.
Highlighting the value of civic engagement, Ghosh emphasized, “Intellectuals are the conscience-keepers of society. Their perspectives help refine our approach to governance and make it more inclusive.”
During open discussions, attendees raised critical issues including Kailashahar’s long-pending demand for enhanced railway infrastructure, the feasibility of establishing a medical college, chronic drinking water shortages and the need for better traffic management in town centers.
A retired educator applauded the strides made in digital infrastructure and education reform but underscored the need for equitable access. “Smart classrooms and digital learning tools must reach rural schools for balanced growth,” he said.
Assuring responsiveness, Ghosh promised to convey the gathered suggestions to senior party leadership. “We will review these issues and prioritize them with urgency, respecting the sentiments and insights of our intellectual community,” he said.
