Pradesh BJP celebrates birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Agartala, 25th December 2024:   The birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee is being celebrated with due dignity across the state and the entire country. Today, the state BJP head office hosted a commemorative event attended by State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Minister Bikash Debbarma, Chief Whip of the Legislative Assembly Kalyani Roy, and other karyakartas.

State BJP President Bhattacharjee paid tribute to Vajpayee, stating, “Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a true son of Mother India and a staunch nationalist leader. His thoughts, a guide for crores of functionaries, always inspire us.” He highlighted that today marks the 100th birth anniversary of Vajpayee, a Bharat Ratna awardee, and the state leaders have decided to observe the day as Good Governance Day.

Bhattacharjee also mentioned that several programs have been organized at each booth to honor Vajpayee’s legacy, including blood donation camps and the distribution of clothes among the needy. “These initiatives reflect Vajpayee’s commitment to serving the nation and its people,” he added.

The event highlighted Vajpayee’s enduring influence and the BJP’s dedication to upholding his ideals of good governance and public service. The celebrations were marked by a sense of reverence and respect for the former Prime Minister’s contributions to the nation.
